So it wasn’t an exaggeration on rumors about Konohagakure’s crumbling state, Even though she disliked the village to a degree she wasn’t thick headed enough to deny the fact that they were flourishing most of the time. She’d heard story after story about Konohagakure beginning to fall from its towering pedestal, she just assumed it was some envious slander from those who weren’t fond on the leaf’s way of life. Those stories she thought to be fictitious become so very numerous as she got closer to sun kissed village of the leaf, she couldn’t believe what she was hearing.
Deadly sickness plaguing the streets? Increasing famine? Supply shortages? The mighty fifth’s health slowly chiseling away?
Taking account of how pleasant things were the last time she was there, this truly a living nightmare for Konohagakure.

The mist kunoichi didn’t believe it until she had seen it with her own two eyes, not a single thing she had heard was false. Despite her dislike of Konohagakure’s due to it’s kind morals, she couldn’t help but feel a speck of remorse for the children of the leaf. Even though Umiko was indeed a cruel person, she held a soft spot for children in bad situations because it reminded her a bit of herself at that age. So weak that you can’t defend yourself when everything is turning against you.

Umiko hadn’t burdened herself come all the way to Konohagakure to pity others though, She was in need of a teacher of some sort. Someone knowledgeable of chakra that could assist her in coming up to her true potential. Her hopes for a teacher were stifled some when she arrived though, only a handful of Shinobi weren’t busy all day trying to help the village. Still she would try, albeit she needed money to hire someone first since nothing in life is free these days. She hadn’t a cent to her name, the change in her pockets had been spent on what meager scraps of food she bought on the way here. There was only one option left, She needed a job.
In a way fortune was smiling upon Umiko, with more people dying there were more jobs opening up. Unfortunately most of them required helping the sickly, the last thing she wanted was to catch whatever malady was going around.

The morning sun was already scorching the earth at such an early hour, Oh how Umiko detested the warm weather! Despite the unsavory heat she managed to persuade herself into searching the streets for the help wanted board, something usually found by a local shop where needy proprietors would post openings for work.
Her stormy gray eyes scanned the board, which was coated from top to bottom in papers asking for some service or another.
Her pale hands shuffled various sheets of papers aside, As she had thought nearly all of the jobs required her to deal with the sickly and infected; She didn’t want to end up six feet under like the rest over a few coins.
“Kuso…” She cursed under her breath, becoming more aggravated with every dead beat occupation she came across.

Konoha's current state was indeed.. Sad to say the least. Many of it's inhabitants were struggling against the virus outbreak and ofcourse their financial states. Konoha wasn't getting much money and because of that they were forced to go on extra missions, which also meant more injured people for the hospital to look after. Out of all Konoha's clans the Aburame and Hyuuga clans seemed to be doing the best out of all the others. With no deaths int he past few months and minimal injuries to their fine Shinobi, they were indeed handling this situation quite well.

Shino was unphased by the scorching heat, even though one would think that his choice of clothing would cause him to have a heat stroke. Sometimes people even asked themselves if the man was human. Nontheless they knew better than to speak loudly around their new head of interrogation. Shino had always been on the cruel side during missions and with his experience in torturing prisoners he became downright frightening. Only his teammates and closest friends knew that deep inside he was a caring individual. He scanned the area for any abnormalities and sure enough he layed eyes on a pale, blue haired female. She obviously wasn't from around here and looked rather shady to him. With Akatsuki still lurking in the shadows one could never be too careless, so Shino took it upon himself to investigate. "Searching for a job, miss?"

With every flurry of sheets she flipped through there was occasionally one job jotted down that looked at least somewhat appealing, well not really just better than the others. Still these weren’t in favorable conditions for the azure haired girl, it was better than lingering the streets without and Ryo in her pockets. She tore a few papers from the board that held information on the better jobs out of this terrible selection, holding them at her side whilst attentively staring down the board a few more times to check if she missed anything.

She had become so preoccupied by skimming the ads along with trying to ignore the heat that she wasn’t aware of the hooded shinobi approaching her. Her gray eyes shot wide open as she heard someone speaking, even worse that they were speaking to her. She clenched her hand into a tight fist, crumpling the papers in her palm. She turned her head to the side, averting her piercing gaze from the board to the man.
“Yeah I am, What’s it to you?”

It was quite clear that this woman was not up for friendly chatter. Then again, neither was he. His auburns eyes, concealed by his thick, black shades, stared right back into her piercing gaze. It took alot more than glares to intimidate Shino. It became obvious to the people around them that something was about to happen. Shino became infamous for his "questionable" interrogation tactics so whenever he found a new target it became the talk of the town. Slowly he turned his head towards the small crowd and instantly they all began going about their own buisness. There was just something about Shino that creeped them out.

"If you are indeed from abother village, then I presume you've filled out the necessary paperwork and gotten permission from our Hokage to be within the safety of our village.. It would be most unfortunate if you did not."

He was right, without approved working papers she wouldn't be able to get a job very easily...Well at least not a decent one. The azure haired kunoichi wouldn't let him phase her out, her gray eyes glinting in the sunlight with an almost metallic sheen as she continued her stare down of the male.
The townspeople's hushed chatter met her keen ears in a faint whisper, apparently he wasn't the most welcoming of sorts. How strange! She had assumed that the entire population of Konohagakure's shinobi were the compassionate and soft hearted fools she always seemed to hear stories about.
Whether this man meant harm or was simply trying to intimidate her she wouldn't give in, No one takes her place as the most malicious. This wasn't the time for petty feuds, She had more things to do and couldn't risk blowing her cover and being tracked by ANBU again.
The rogue kunoichi's pallid features now graced a smirk, a lot more friendly than her previous grimace yet she withheld a secret ill intention behind her playful look.
"Of course I have, I don't look like that much of a fool now do I?"
She placed her right hand lazily at her hip, letting out a small sigh. She did seem quite comfortable in such a tense situation, naturally she was a good liar and trouble maker of other sorts.
"If I hadn't I would be in trouble now wouldn't I?"
