An indescribable, gray emotion began to take over the inhabitants of the Rice country as the clouds hovering just above their land began to slowly darken as the days passed by. Moisture collected deep within the confines of the downy mass of clouds. A young man mumbled to himself, bracing against a sturdy oak tree as a gust of wind threw itself against the earth. The cumulus clouds were undergoing catastrophic changes, soon enough they would become a powerful Alto cumulus front that threatened the crops of the nearby towns and villages. The shinobi donned a thick cloak that wrapped around his figure for the most part, it parted halfway down his body to reveal his pants and sandals. To every side there was a great expanse of foliage, covering what appeared to be 8 square kilometers. Jet streams uprooted trees and blew stray animals from their paths'. He stopped in front of a raging river, threatening to release its bounty and flood the lower lands of the Rice country. If such an incident was allowed to happen, even the rice paddies would be overwhelmed. The powerful winds blew across the river, sending a powerful spray towards him. "I won't be able to stay here." He stated bluntly, sidestepping the wave of water just in time.

He'd been sent out on a mission with a man who went by the name of Shino to check the state of Otogakure. Since Orochimaru had been killed, Kabuto supposedly took the reigns of the Otokage. The only issue with this was the Daimyo of Rice country. Sai wiped a lock of wet hair from his headband. The rain water penetrated the layers of his hair, matting it against his skin. The river soon died down to a murmuring stream. he slipped in between two men who stood guard. It wasn't difficult as his lithe frame allowed him to maneuver in ways they could not comprehend. Under the veil of night, Sai weaved a tapestry of deceit. The men who were called "Oto-nin" were nothing more than a mere farce. This was proven by the lack of security in Otogakure's borders. Though it bothered him that he hadn't met any decent resistance so far, he wasn't going to jinx it. As the first light of dawn broke through the dark cumulus clouds, removing the darkness he used to travel. Sai quickly hugged close to a tree. He now stood outside of the main village, near the outer walls. Sai slowed his breathing, waiting for the threat to pass by. After a moment of silence, he relaxed his breathing and removed a rectangular device from his pouch. He pressed a black button on it, as he did that it produced a faint static sound. "Shino, I've reached my location." All that was left to do was wait.
